My Art Class

Curriculum-based · ages 2.5 to adult

Where children learn to really see.

A structured art studio teaching drawing, painting and observation the Montessori way. Real skill, not just crafts to take home.

Programs

A path from first brushstroke to adult

Three of our six programs, in the order children usually travel them.

01

Little Sunshine

2.5 to 4 yrs

Art and craft based, with step by step guidance. Helps little minds explore nature and build observation skills. An early introduction to art helps children convey ideas, express emotions freely, and use colour with confidence. Children are introduced to a range of art materials, promoting sensory development. We focus more on hand-eye coordination and muscle memory to hold the pencil and brush properly.

02

Little Explorers

4 to 7 yrs

Every class begins with drawing and sketching, then moves to a project. Children are encouraged to observe the world around them, and we help them articulate those observations in their art. Tailored to each child and aligned with the seasons. Learning how to control pencil and brush pressure, discovering how a gentle or firm touch can create different lines, shades and textures while building confidence and fine motor skills.

03

Budding Artists

8 to 14 yrs

Guided project work matched to each student's ability, building foundation skills across different mediums with tasks that stretch their creativity. Each project starts with a brainstorm and ends with a reflection on what they set out to do, what they achieved, and how it felt.

Why parents choose us

Not just an art class

01

A real curriculum

We teach children to see. Every class builds observation, proportion, composition and scale, so children develop genuine drawing skill, not just crafts to take home.

02

Correct technique from the start

How you hold a pencil matters. We teach proper grip, posture and hand-eye coordination early, building the muscle memory that lets children draw longer and better, without frustration.

03

Learning the Montessori way

Mixed-age classes where a three-year-old and an eleven-year-old share a room. Children set up their own materials, work at their own pace, and learn as much from each other as from their teacher.

04

Themed around the seasons

Our curriculum follows the seasons, holidays and celebrations, so lessons stay fresh and every child has new work to be proud of.

How a class works

Walk into a class and you'll notice something unusual: children of different ages working side by side, each on their own project. Aprons hang at child height so little ones set up by themselves. Older students experiment freely and mentor the younger ones. Nobody is spoon-fed. Every child takes responsibility for their own space and their own work, and discovers that in art, anything is possible.

About

Meet Shri

Shri has spent years creating art across clay, glass, metal, acrylic, oil and watercolour, including commissioned pieces. Her love for art began at a young age and has continued to grow through years of learning, experimenting and creating.

Alongside her art, she has spent many years working closely with children, and My Art Class is where these two passions naturally come together. For Shri, teaching art is not only about technique or creating a beautiful finished piece — it is about giving children the confidence to explore, make choices and express what matters to them.

One of the things she enjoys most is seeing the excitement and pride children feel when they look at something they have created themselves. Every day, she continues to learn from their curious questions, their unique ways of seeing the world, and the positivity and kindness they bring into the studio.

My Art Class is a reflection of that — a place where creativity is encouraged, individuality is celebrated, and both children and adults can experience the simple joy of making art.
