MyArtClass is a curriculum-based art program in Mississauga, designed to help children build strong foundations in drawing while developing creativity, confidence and their own artistic voice.
Our approach is Montessori-inspired, encouraging children to observe carefully, make independent choices, think through their work and take ownership of the creative process. Each three-month term combines seasonal themes and engaging projects with important art fundamentals such as shapes, proportions, composition and observation.
Every class begins with drawing. Children are encouraged to use references as inspiration while adding their own ideas, imagination and personality, so that every artwork feels uniquely theirs.

Shri, founder and teacher
Founder & Teacher
Meet Shri
Shri has spent years creating art across clay, glass, metal, acrylic, oil and watercolour, including commissioned pieces. Her love for art began at a young age and has continued to grow through years of learning, experimenting and creating.
Alongside her art, she has spent many years working closely with children, and My Art Class is where these two passions naturally come together. For Shri, teaching art is not only about technique or creating a beautiful finished piece — it is about giving children the confidence to explore, make choices and express what matters to them.
One of the things she enjoys most is seeing the excitement and pride children feel when they look at something they have created themselves. Every day, she continues to learn from their curious questions, their unique ways of seeing the world, and the positivity and kindness they bring into the studio.
My Art Class is a reflection of that — a place where creativity is encouraged, individuality is celebrated, and both children and adults can experience the simple joy of making art.

Tia
A passionate artist and University of Toronto pre-med student who brings warmth, patience and creativity to every class.
Tia is a passionate artist who has been learning and creating art since the age of three. Over the years, she has explored a variety of mediums, participated in art exhibitions, and continued to grow her own artistic practice.
Currently a University of Toronto student pursuing pre-med studies, Tia is especially interested in the connection between art, mental health and well-being, and how creativity can become a positive form of expression.
Her gentle, cheerful nature makes her a favourite among our younger artists. She has a wonderful way of connecting with children, encouraging their ideas and helping them feel comfortable, confident and excited to create.

A passionate soccer player, talented artist and Grade 12 IB student who brings enthusiasm, imagination and playful energy to every class.
Tan is a passionate soccer player and talented artist with a natural gift for art and sculpture. He has explored art from a young age and has participated in exhibitions across Singapore. His creative work often takes unexpected directions, from experimenting with unusual ideas to exploring themes such as the midnight sea.
Curious and adventurous, Tan enjoys challenging himself and taking creative risks that inspire fresh perspectives. As a Grade 12 IB student, he brings his enthusiasm, imagination and playful energy to the classroom.
As an art instructor, he creates a warm, relaxed environment where children feel comfortable experimenting, laughing and discovering the joy of making art. His approachable personality and creative spirit encourage students to express themselves confidently while enjoying the artistic process.
